The United States Postal Service reports that due to the storms that passed through the East coast June 29 and 30, several USPS facilities are experiencing power outages, downed trees, and downed power lines. Power has been restored at all major plants in the affected areas and these plants are now in recovery mode. Some post office stations remain without power. A full list of additional impacts for the states of New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia, can be found posted under "Current Updates" on the Mail Service Update webpage. Customers using our US printing station should allow extra time for delivery until these problems have been resolved.

Royal Mail are hoping to extend the policy of delivering your mail to a neighbour if you are out after a successful trial. Just under 750,000 homes in Edinburgh, Gatwick, Hull, Norwich, Swansea, Wigan and Bolton took part in trial which started last November. More than nine out of ten people whose post was delivered to a neighbour were happy with the service leading Royal Mail to the decision to extend the service across the UK. Royal Mail is currently one of the only delivery services that is not allowed to deliver mail to a neighbouring property. They are intending to ask the regulator Ofcom to amend it's relations so that they will now be able to do so. Customers will have the option to opt out if they wish.

We've just added a new section to the iPhone/iPad version of our site which enables you to send PDF's as letters from these devices (due to popular demand).
In order to make use of this functionality you will need to have the iCabMobile browser installed (available from the app store).
We are keen to hear any feedback you may have about this new functionality. We have also attempted as best we can to test and ensure the functionality works, however as it is a beta there may be a few teething issues which we would be grateful for feedback on.

Quick Tips
----------
If you have a PDF attachment you have received as an email you wish to send from the iPad. Hold your finger down on the attachment and select "Open In" you should be able to select the iCabMobile browser. Now that the attachment is in iCabMobile you can now send it via PC2Paper by logging into the iPhone/iPad version of the site from iCabMobile and following the onscreen instructions.

It has been announced today that Royal Mail intend to increase stamp prices dramatically. The price of a first stamp will increase from 46p to 60p whilst a second class stamp will increase from 36p to 50p. The increases come as the regulator has allowed Royal Mail to set the prices of first class and business mail. The prices are set to go up from the 30th of April. PC2Paper will be increasing our postage prices in line with the Royal Mail increases once they come into force
