Latest Recommended Posting Dates
Today, Thursday 17 December is the latest recommended posting date for International Standard to France. Tomorrow, Friday 18 December, is the latest posting date for mail to Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia and Switzerland.

The latest recommended posting dates for IUK standard Second Class mail is this Saturday - 19 December. The latest date for First Class mail is Monday 21 December.

PC2Paper will be closed for some of the Christmas period. Our offices will be closed Thursday the 24th of December, Friday the 25th of December, Monday the 28th of December and Friday the 31st of December. In addition to this we are closed at the weekend as normal.

All mail sent after 3.30pm on Wednesday the 23rd of December will be processed on the next available working day Tuesday the 29th of December.

All mail sent after 3.30pm on Wednesday the 30th of December will be processed on the next available working day Monday the 4th of January.

Any mail sent during the days that we are closed will be queued in our system and processed as normal once we reopen.

Royal Mail are to close their SmartStamp service on 31st December 2015. Customers might be aware that we currently use this service to print our postage onto the envelopes. We are currently testing PPI alongside Smartstamp with a view to moving over to it within the next few weeks. Customers should see no interruption to the service.

One of our most frequently asked questions is customers requesting tracking numbers for sent items. Tracked mail is an additional services available from the "extras" menu and is not available with standard mail options.

We offer Recorded and Special Delivery within the UK.
International Signed Delivery, from the UK to overseas destinations
Priority Mail, from the USA.

Of the above options only Special Delivery and Priority Mail are guaranteed services. These two services provide a signature on delivery and and generally very reliable methods of getting your letter to the recipient.

Recorded Delivery and International Signed Delivery, offer a signature when the item is delivered. These services are not guaranteed and mail is treated no differently to normal 1st class mail or Airmail. We do experience a number of items sent via these services being lost in transit but are able to provide you with scanned proof that your item has been passed to the postal service.

Monday the 31st of August is a Bank Holiday in the UK. As a result of the holiday there are no Royal Mail deliveries or collections on this day. PC2Paper is also closed. Any letters submitted to us after our 3.30pm cut off time on Friday the 28th of August will be queued in the system and posted on the next working day Tuesday the 1st of September. Customer should expect mail deliveries to take longer that usual due to the Bank Holiday.

We have decided to compile this article to discourage users who believe they can send anonymous letters via our service. 

While there is nothing wrong with sending an anonymous letter (as long as its content does not break the law), letters sent via our service can be traced. If the letter you have sent breaks the law and the police are involved, they can request the information under Section 29 of the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you are tempted to sign up anonymously to use our service (something we discourage), as with any service on the Internet you leave behind a data foot print at your Internet Service Provider, on your machine and with any site you visit.

If you are unclear what may constitute a letter that may break the law please read the following

• UK Malicious Communications Act 1988.
• Postal Services Act 2000 section 85
• Communications Act 2003 section 127

If you are using an old web browser, then this is an important article for you. We will shortly have to conform to an industry security policy that keeps our website secure. In order to do this we will need to support a higher and more secure level of encryption.

Windows XP and Internet Explorer

Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and Windows XP is not able to use the latest version of Internet Explorer. If you are using Windows XP we strongly recommend you install Google Chrome or Firefox or upgrade to a newer version of Windows.

If you are using an older version of Android. It is recommended that you update to Google Chrome from the Google Play store and do not use the browser that came with the device.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is by far the most popular web browser that accesses our site and is usually upgraded automatically when you restart your web browser. If you use this web browser you should not need to worry.

Safari

Safari users can ensure they have the latest version of Safari installed by going to their Apple Updates on their Mac's.
