Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its Dorset and Northern Ireland Mail Processing Centres. This is likely to cause delays in the following postcode areas:
- Dorset Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the BH and DT postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- Northern Ireland Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday across the rest of the UK, due for delivery today to addresses in the BT postcode area.
Royal Mail have also advised that there are delivery delays in some areas due to local issues such as COVID-related self isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently experiencing delays:
- Canvey Island (SS8)
- Erskine (PA7 and PA8)
- Muswell Hill DO (N10)
- Rayleigh (SS6)
- Southend-on-Sea DO (SS0 to SS4, SS9 and SS22)
- Yatton DO (BS49 4&5)
