Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule at its Northern Ireland and Sheffield Mail Processing Centres yesterday. This is likely to cause delays to mail in the following areas:
- Northern Ireland Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK, for delivery today in the BT postcode area.
- Sheffield Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the DN, HU, LN and S postcode areas, for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
Royal Mail have also advised that there are currently delays to deliveries in some areas due to local issues such as COVID-related self isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently affected:
- Basildon DO (SS13-SS16)
- Caldicot DO (NP26)
