Royal Mail have advised that there are currently delays in the Bury area. Customers should expect all mail in the the BL0, BL8 and BL9 postcode areas to take longer than expected to deliver. This is due to resourcing issues in the local area.

Royal Mail are currently experiencing delays to mail in some areas caused by staffing issues due to self isolating and social distancing. The following areas are currently affected and customers should expect all services to take longer than normal to be delivered.

  • Glasgow Mail Centre: A small amount of mail posted on Monday from across the UK, due for delivery today to addresses in the G, KA, ML and PA postcode areas.
  • Nottingham Mail Centre: A small amount of mail posted on Monday in the DE and HG postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Swindon Mail Centre: A small amount of mail posted on Monday in the OX, RG and SN postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Tyneside Mail Centre: A small amount of mail posted on Monday from across the UK, due for delivery today to addresses in the DH, DL, NE, SR and TS postcode areas.

The USPS is currently experiencing delays to mail in some areas caused by Flooding in Southeast U.S. and wildfires on the West Coast. These are causing localized Post Office closures and postal facility disruptions. Customers should expect delays to mail in these areas and allow longer for delivery.
