Due to the Bank Holiday on Monday the 3rd of May, there will be no Royal Mail deliveries or collections. Any letters received in the system after our 1pm cut-off time for tracked mail and 3pm for all other mail on Friday the 30th of April will be posted on the next available working day which is Tuesday the 4th of May.

Royal Mail have advised that some mail posted at its Bristol and Home Counties Mail Processing Centres has not been processed to schedule. This is likely to cause some delays to mail in the following areas:

  • Bristol Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK for delivery today in the BA, BS, GL and TA postcode areas.
  • Home Counties North Mail Centre Some mail posted yesterday in the AL, EN, HP, LU, SG and WD postcode areas for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

Royal Mail have advised that there have been delays at its Medway Processing Centre with not all mail being processed to schedule. This may cause delays to mail sent via our service on Monday the 12th of March as all of our outgoing mail passes through the Medway Mail Centre before making its way through the Royal Mail network.

Royal Mail have advised that there have been delays at their Preston Mail Processing Centre with not all mail having been processed to schedule. Customers should expect delays in the BB, FY, LA and PR postcode areas.

Last night a vehicle travelling from the Southampton Mail Centre arrived late into the National Distribution Centre in Daventry. This is expected to cause delays to mail posted in the PO, SO and SP postcode areas.

Last night a train travelling from the Newcastle Mail Centre to London's Princess Royal Distribution Centre was held at Chester Le Street following a fatality on the line, and a subsequent investigation by the British Transport Police. The train will be returned to Newcastle later this morning and all mail will be unloaded and mail sent on via the road network for onward distribution. As a result, some mail posted in the North East of England yesterday for delivery today in parts of London and South East England will be delayed.
