Royal Mail have advised that there have been delays at their Exeter and Warrington Mail Processing Centres with not all mail having processed to schedule. This is likely to cause some delays to delivery in the following areas:

  • Exeter Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the EX and TQ postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Warrington Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the CW, L, WA and WN postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

Royal Mail have advised that there have been delays at its Medway Processing Centre with not all mail being processed to schedule. This may cause delays to mail sent via our service on Monday the 12th of March as all of our outgoing mail passes through the Medway Mail Centre before making its way through the Royal Mail network.

Royal Mail have reported delays at their Chelmsford, Southampton and South Midlands Mail Centres with not all mail having been processed to schedule. Customers should expect delays in the following areas:

  • Chelmsford Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the rest of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the CM, CO and SS postcode areas.
  • Southampton Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the rest of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the PO, SO and SP postcode areas.
  • South Midlands Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the rest of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas.

Royal Mail have advised that there have been delays at their Preston Mail Processing Centre with not all mail having been processed to schedule. Customers should expect delays in the BB, FY, LA and PR postcode areas.

Last night a vehicle travelling from the Southampton Mail Centre arrived late into the National Distribution Centre in Daventry. This is expected to cause delays to mail posted in the PO, SO and SP postcode areas.

Last night a train travelling from the Newcastle Mail Centre to London's Princess Royal Distribution Centre was held at Chester Le Street following a fatality on the line, and a subsequent investigation by the British Transport Police. The train will be returned to Newcastle later this morning and all mail will be unloaded and mail sent on via the road network for onward distribution. As a result, some mail posted in the North East of England yesterday for delivery today in parts of London and South East England will be delayed.

Royal Mail have advised that there have been delays at the South Midlands Mail Centre with not all mail having been processed to schedule. Customers should expect delays in the following areas@

  • South Midlands Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK for delivery today in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas.

In addition to the above there have also been some delays with vehicles travelling from the Manchester and Preston Mail Centres. This may cause delays in the following areas: BL, M, OL, SK and the BB, FY, LA and PR.

  • Chester Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the CH, LL and SY postcode areas for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Jubilee Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the GU, KT, SW and TW postcode areas for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Norwich Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK for delivery today in the NR postcode area.
  • Swindon Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the OX RG and SN postcode areas for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

Customers should expect delays.

In addition to this Royal Mail have reported delays at the Princess Royal Distribution Centre in London. Not all mail was able to leave as scheduled, this may cause some delays in mail posted in parts of London and the South East for delivery in the South West today.
