Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at several of its Mail Processing Centres. The following areas are currently subject to delays:
- Birmingham Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the B, HR and WR postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- Jubilee Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the GU, KT, SW and TW postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- North West Midlands Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the DY, ST, TF, WS and WV postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- Peterborough Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the CB and PE postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- Plymouth Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the PL postcode area, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- South Midlands Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
- Truro Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Wednesday in the TR postcode area, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
In addition to the above several areas are currently experiencing delivery delays due to local issues such as COVID-related self-isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently affected:
- Didcot DO (OX11)
- Hitchin DO (SG4 and SG5)
- Portslade DO (BN41 and BN42)
- Rainham RM DO (RM13)
- Stevenage DO (SG1, SG2 and SG3)
- Weston Super Mare DO (BS22, BS23 and BS24)
