Royal Mail has advised that not all mail was processed to schedule at the following Mail Centres over the weekend:
- London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the EC, N, WC and W1 postcode areas on Friday for delivery on Saturday in other parts of the UK.
- Tyneside Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the DH, DL, NE, SR and TS postcode areas on Friday for delivery on Saturday in other parts of the UK.
Customers should expect delays.
Delays may also occur in the following areas due to adverse weather conditions:
On Friday night a vehicle was late departing our Midlands Hub on route to North West Midlands Mail Centre. As a result, some mail due for delivery in the DY, ST, TF, WS and WV postcode areas on Saturday, may arrive later than expected.
The late departure of a vehicle on Friday night from London's Princess Royal Hub travelling to Cardiff Mail Centre may mean some mail due for delivery on Saturday in the CF, LD and NP postcode areas arrives later than planned.
Ferry services to and from Northern Ireland were delayed due to the weather over the weekend, but are expected to complete this morning. As a result, services from the UK mainland to the BT postcode area and mail from the BT postcode area to various parts of the UK mainland may arrive later than anticipated.
