Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule at some of its Mail Processing Centres yesterday. This will cause delays in the following postcode areas:

  • Chelmsford Mail Centre: Some mail posted from across the UK on Tuesday, due for delivery today to addresses in the CM, CO, IP and SS postcode areas.
  • London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Tuesday in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Romford Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Tuesday in the E, IG and RM postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

In addition to the above there are currently delays in some areas due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence or COVID-related self isolation, resourcing, or other local factors. In those cases we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. The following areas are currently affected:

  • Avonmouth DO (BS11, BS20)
  • Bicester DO (OX25, OX26, OX27)
  • Bideford DO (EX39)
  • Hornsey DO (N8)
  • Muswell Hill DO (N10)
  • Oxford DO (OX1, OX2)
  • Oxted DO (RH8)
  • Rotherhithe DO (SE16)
  • Southend-on-Sea DO (SS0 to SS4, SS9 and SS22)
  • West Norwood DO (SE27)
  • Yatton DO (BS49 4&5)
