Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule at several of its Mail Processing Centres yesterday. The following areas are currently subject to delays:
- South Midlands Mail Centre: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK for delivery in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas.
- Swindon Mail Centre: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK for delivery in the OX, RG and SN postcode areas.
- Bristol Mail Centre Some mail posted in the BA, BS, GL and TA postcode areas for delivery in other parts of the UK.
- Gatwick Mail Centre Some mail posted in the BN and RH postcode areas for delivery in other parts of the UK. Some mail posted in the BN and RH postcode areas, for delivery in other parts of the UK.
- Leeds Mail Centre Some mail posted in the BD, HD, HG, HX, LS, WF and YO postcode areas for delivery in other parts of the UK.
- Tyneside Mail Centre Some mail posted in the DH, DL, NE, SR and TS postcode areas for delivery in other parts of the UK.
- Warrington Mail Centre Some mail posted in the CW, L, WA and WN postcode areas for delivery in other parts of the UK.
In addition to the above we are aware of long delays to mail in the West Midlands and Manchester areas.
We are currently seeing delays to all services due to the backlog caused by strike action.
