Royal Mail have advised that not all was processed to schedule yesterday at several of its Mail Processing Centres. Customers should expect delays in the following areas:

  • Edinburgh Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Thursday in the DD, EH, FK, KY, PH and TD postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Exeter Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Thursday from across the UK, due for delivery today to addresses in the EX and TQ postcode areas..
  • London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Thursday in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

In addition to the above there are currently delays to deliveries in many areas due to local issues such as COVID-related self-isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently affected:

  • Brinklow DO (MK6, MK7, MK9, MK10, MK15, MK17 and MK77)
  • Didcot DO (OX11)
  • Glaisdale Parkway DO (NG7 and NG8)
  • Grays DO (RM16, RM17, RM18, RM19 and RM20)
  • Harold Hill DO (RM3)
  • Hitchin DO (SG4 and SG5)
  • Ongar DO (CM5)
  • Portslade DO (BN41 and BN42)
  • Rainham RM DO (RM13)
  • Stevenage DO (SG1, SG2 and SG3)
  • Weston Super Mare DO (BS22, BS23 and BS24)
