Higher than normal volumes of mail have meant that not all mail was processed at the Princess Royal Distribution Centre last night, this will cause delays to some mail posted in London and the South East of England which may arrive later than expected.

Staffing issues caused by self-isolating and social distancing are causing delays at the following mail processing centres:

  • Birmingham: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the B, HR and WR postcode areas.
  • Bristol: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the BS, BA, GL and TA postcode areas.
  • Chelmsford: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the CM, CO and SS postcode areas.
  • Southampton: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the PO, SO and SP postcode areas.
  • Swindon: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the OX, RG and SN postcode areas.

Customers should expect deliveries to take longer than usual in these areas.
