Royal Mail has advised that some of its Mail Processing Centres were unable to process all mail to schedule yesterday. The following areas are likely to be subject to delays:

  • Birmingham Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the B, HR and WR postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Cardiff Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the CF, LD and NP postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Manchester Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Swindon Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the OX, RG and SN postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

In addition to the above some areas are experiencing delivery delays due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently affected:

  • Banbury DO (OX15, OX16 and OX17)
  • Battle DO (TN32 and TN33)
  • Bridgwater DO (TA5, TA6 and TA7)
  • Bristol South DO (BS3, BS13 and BS41)
  • Bristol South East DO (BS4 and BS14)
  • Camberley DO (GU15, GU16, GU17 and GU95)
  • Clevedon DO (BS21)
  • Erskine DO (PA7 and PA8)
  • Farnham DO (GU9 and GU10)
  • Huntingdon (PE26, PE28 and PE29)
  • Patchway DO (BS32, BS34 and BS35)
  • Portishead DO (BS20)
  • Sandhurst DO (GU46 and GU47)
  • Thatcham DO (RG18 and RG19)
  • Wallington DO (SM5 and SM6)
  • West Wickham DO (BR4)
  • Weston-Super-Mare DO (BS22, BS23 and BS24)
