Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its Dorset and Truro Mail Processing Centres. Customers should expect delays in the following areas:

  • Dorset Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in BH and DT postcode areas for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Truro Mail Centre Some mail posted yesterday in TR postcode area for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

Royal Mail have also reported delays to deliveries in some areas due to local issues such as COVID-related self isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently affected:

  • Caldicot DO (NP26)
  • Glastonbury DO (BA6 and BA16)
  • Kittybrewster DO (AB24 and AB25)
  • Lochgelly DO (KY5)
  • Maybole DO (KA19)
  • Mill Hill DO (NW7)
  • Newbury DO (RG14 and RG20)
  • Prestonpans DO (EH32)
  • Wantage DO (OX12)

In addition to the above some areas are experiencing delays due to a junction closure on the A42 last night causing delays to vehicles travelling from the Leeds, Sheffield and Preston Mail Centres. This is likely to cause delays to mail posted in the following postcode areas yesterday:

BD, HD, HG, HX, LS, WF, YO, DN, HU, LN, S, BB, FY, LA and PR areas.
