Royal Mail have advised that there is some disruption at several of its Mail Processing Centres with not mail being processed to schedule.

Customers should expect delays in the following postcode areas:

  • Gatwick Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the BN and RH postcode areas, for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Romford Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the E, IG and RM postcode areas, for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Medway Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK, for delivery today in the CT, DA, ME and TN postcode areas.
  • Plymouth Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK, for delivery today in the PL postcode area.

Delays at the Medway Processing Centre are likely to affect any mail received to customer Mailboxes as all of our incoming mail needs to pass through Medway before being delivered to us. It has been several days since we have received a mail delivery due to this issue.

  • South Midlands Mail Centre: Both inbound (some mail posted in other parts of the UK yesterday, for delivery today in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas) and outbound (some mail posted in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas yesterday for delivery today in other parts of the UK).
  • Nottingham Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the DE and NG postcode areas yesterday for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

Monday the 30th of August is a Bank Holiday. There are no Royal Mail deliveries or mail collections on this day and PC2Paper will be closed for the day.

All mail sent after our 1pm cut-off time for tracked mail and 3pm for all other mail on Friday the 27th of August will be queued in the system and posted when we reopen on Tuesday the 31st of August.

It is possible to request cancellation of letters from within your account whilst we are closed if required.

Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule at their Chelmsford and Chester Mail Processing Centres last night. This is likely to cause delays to mail in the following postcode areas:

  • Chelmsford Mail Centre: Some mail posted across the UK on Monday, due for delivery today to addresses in the CM, CO and SS postcode areas.
  • Chester Mail Centre: Some mail posted across the UK on Monday, due for delivery today to addresses in the CH, LL and SY postcode areas.

Mail in the Plympton (PL7) postcode area is currently subject to disruption caused by resourcing issues. Customers should expect to mail in this area.

  • London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today in the rest of the UK.
  • Northern Ireland Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the the rest of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the BT postcode area.
  • Plymouth Mail Centre: Some mail posted in the the rest of the UK yesterday, due for delivery today in the PL postcode area.
