Royal Mail has advised that the following Mail Processing Centres did not process all mail to schedule yesterday. Customers should expect delays in these areas:

  • Gatwick: Some mail posted in the BN and RH postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

  • London Central: Some mail posted in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

  • Manchester: Some mail posted in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

  • Preston: Some mail posted in the BB, FY, LA and PR  postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

  • South Midlands: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK, due for delivery today in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas.

In addition to the above the following areas are currently experiencing delivery delays:

  • Barrhead DO (G78)
  • Barrow In Furness DO (LA13 to LA17)
  • Bristol East DO (BS5)
  • East Dulwich DO (SE22)
  • Glasgow G52 DO (G52 and G53)
  • Gosport DO (PO12 and PO13)
  • Huntingdon DO (PE26, PE28 and PE29)

Royal Mail has advised that there are currently delays to deliveries in Canterbury affecting the CT1-CT6 postcode areas. Customer should expect items to take longer than usual in these areas.

According to this article Royal Mail has issued an apology to customers across Kent and Sussex who have been experiencing long delays to mail. People in Rochester, Sevenoaks and Canterbury in Kent, and Eastbourne and Lewes in East Sussex have been complaining about delays of up to 3 weeks to mail, with important documents having been delayed in the post. We would advise any customers sending mail in these areas to expect items to take much longer than usual to arrive particularly during the busy Christmas period.

  • Home Counties North: Some mail posted yesterday in the AL, EN, HP, LU, SG and WD postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK. 
  • Nottingham: Some mail posted yesterday in the DE and NG postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK. 
  • Peterborough: Some mail posted yesterday in other parts of the UK, due for delivery today in the CB and PE postcode areas.

PC2Paper will be closed from Tuesday the 24th of December  Until Friday the 27th of December, reopening on Monday the 30th of December.

No mail will be sent during this time, any letters received after our  cut off time on Monday the 23rd of December will be queued in the system and sent when we reopen.

We will also be closed on Tuesday the 31st of December and Wednesday the 1st of January for the New Years holiday. No mail will be sent during this time, any letters received after our cut off time on the 30th of December will be queued in the system and sent when we reopen.

Daily cut-off times are 1pm for all tracked mail and 3pm for all other mail.

Tracked services will be removed whilst we are closed as we are unable to guarantee delivery times during this time.
