Royal Mail has advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its London Central Mail Processing Centre. Customer should expect delays in the following areas:

• London Central: Some mail posted in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

Royal Mail has also advised that the following areas are experiencing delivery delays due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. Customer should delays in the following areas:

• Boston DO (PE20, PE21 and PE22)
• Clogher SPDO (BT70, BT75, BT76 and BT77)
• Dudley DO (DY1, DY2 and DY3)
• Hungerford DO (RG17)
• Leicester East DO (LE2, LE5 and LE7)
• Manchester South East DO (M11, M12, M13 and M18)
• Manchester South West DO (M15, M16 and M32)
• Sleaford DO (NG34)
• Swan House DO (LE1, LE3, LE7, LE8, LE9, LE19 and LE95)

Royal Mail has advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its Swansea Mail Processing Centre. Customer should expect delays in the following area:

• Swansea Mail Centre: Some mail posted in parts of the SA postcode area on Friday, for delivery across other parts of the UK.

Royal Mail has advised that there are delays to deliveries in the following areas:

• Alnwick DO (NE66 to NE71)
• Banbury DO (OX15 to OX17)
• Bethnal Green DO (E2, E8, E9)
• Boston DO (PE20, PE21 and PE22)
• Bridgwater DO (TA5 to TA7)
• Bristol East DO (BS5)
• East Dulwich DO (SE22)
• Ferndale DO (CF41 to CF43)
• Gosforth DO (NE3 and NE13)

Customers should expect delays in these areas.

We are currently seeing some delays to mail dispatched on the 8th of January. All mail has left us but has been delayed to snow and icy conditions in the Medway area, meaning it has not yet been scanned into the Medway Mail Processing Centre. We are still experiencing icy conditions so would advise customers that all items of mail will currently take longer than normal to progress through the network until the weather conditions improve.

Some areas of the UK are experiencing delays to deliveries due to local factors such as adverse weather conditions. Customers should expect delays in the following areas:

• Alfreton DO (DE55)
• Barrhead DO (G78)
• Barrow In Furness DO (LA13 to LA17)
• Bristol East DO (BS5)
• Dunstable DO (LU5 and LU6)
• East Dulwich DO (SE22)
• Glasgow G52 DO (G52 and G53)
• Gosport DO (PO12 and PO13)
• Huntingdon DO (PE26, PE28 and PE29)
• Thornbury DO (BS35)

Royal Mail has advised that the following Mail Processing Centres did not process all mail to schedule yesterday. Customers should expect delays in these areas:

• Gatwick: Some mail posted in the BN and RH postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

• London Central: Some mail posted in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

• Manchester: Some mail posted in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

• Preston: Some mail posted in the BB, FY, LA and PR  postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

• South Midlands: Some mail posted in other parts of the UK, due for delivery today in the CV, LE, MK and NN postcode areas.

In addition to the above the following areas are currently experiencing delivery delays:

• Barrhead DO (G78)
• Barrow In Furness DO (LA13 to LA17)
• Bristol East DO (BS5)
• East Dulwich DO (SE22)

Royal Mail has advised that there are currently delays to deliveries in Canterbury affecting the CT1-CT6 postcode areas. Customer should expect items to take longer than usual in these areas.
