All mail to Canada is currently facing severe delays with Royal Mail unable to give an estimate of delivery times. The following update in from the Royal Mail website.

Update: 1 August 2020
CANADA DELAYS: All mail being sent from the UK to Canada is facing severe delays because of the on-going impact of COVID-19 and record volumes of traffic being received in Canada. We are processing the mail as normal in the UK, but delays are taking place once the mail reaches the Canadian border. As a result, we are unable to advise on likely delivery times.

We have recently been made aware by Royal Mail that they are experiencing delays in the Swindon area due to resourcing issues at the Swindon Delivery Office. Deliveries in this area are currently limited and customers should expect there to be delays to mail deliveries. Postcodes affected include SN1-3, SN6, SN25 and SN38.

We will shortly be adding VAT to our prices. If you are able to claim back VAT you will be able to download invoices from the website which will show the amount of VAT you have paid. If you are an EU business customer you will be able to enter your VAT number to zero rate VAT.

We have recently taken the decision to stop supporting the International Tracked and Signed service to Canada. Recently the service has not been showing any tracking information and items have been severely delayed and in many cases lost in transit. As we have found the service unreliable we have decided to remove it until the service to Canada improves.

We are currently experiencing a high number of queries relating to Royal Mail Signed For service. Please be aware that you will only see an update on the Royal Mail website once your item has been delivered and signed for at the destination. This service does not provide real time tracking throughout the delivery process. Please also be aware that we are currently seeing delays to delivery times, as in many places Royal Mail are not delivering every day. Customers should allow at least 1-4 working days (excluding weekends) for delivery, in some cases mail is taking longer than this to be delivered.

Royal Mail have announced that during the current Covid-19 outbreak they will no longer offer a Saturday delivery service. Royal Mail already do not deliver mail on Sundays but this will now be extended to the whole weekend. They continue to deliver Monday to Friday, however, many places are now seeing a mail delivery every 2 days days instead of daily.

PC2Paper is still posting letters as normal but we would recommend customers allow longer for their item to be delivered under the current circumstances.
