Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its Chester and Dover Mail Processing Centres. Customers should expect delays to mail in the following areas:

  • Chester Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the CH, LL and SY postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.
  • Dorset Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the BH and DT postcode areas, due for delivery today in other parts of the UK.

In addition to the above there are currently delays to deliveries in some areas due to local issues such as COVID-related self-isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently affected:

  • Clevedon DO (BS21)
  • Didcot DO (OX11)
  • Wrington DO (BS40 5)

  • Croydon Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday for delivery in the BR, CR, SE and SM postcode areas may be delivered later than expected.
  • Medway Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday for delivery in the CT, DA, ME and TN postcode areas may be delivered later than expected.
  • London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

Customers should be aware that our outgoing mail may be affected by this, as all of our mail has to pass through the Medway Processing Centre.
