Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its Dorset and Northern Ireland Mail Processing Centres. This is likely to cause delays in the following postcode areas:

  • Dorset Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the BH and DT postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Northern Ireland Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday across the rest of the UK, due for delivery today to addresses in the BT postcode area.

Royal Mail have also advised that there are delivery delays in some areas due to local issues such as COVID-related self isolation, high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. The following areas are currently experiencing delays:

  • Canvey Island (SS8)
  • Erskine (PA7 and PA8)
  • Muswell Hill DO (N10)
  • Rayleigh (SS6)
  • Southend-on-Sea DO (SS0 to SS4, SS9 and SS22)

Royal Mail have advised that not all mail was processed to schedule yesterday at its Bristol, London, Central and Manchester Mail Processing Centres. Customers should expect delays to mail in the following postcode areas:

  • Bristol Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the BA, BS, GL and TA postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Manchester Mail Centre: Some mail posted yesterday in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

  • Chelmsford Mail Centre: Some mail posted from across the UK on Tuesday, due for delivery today to addresses in the CM, CO, IP and SS postcode areas.
  • London Central Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Tuesday in the EC, N, W1 and WC postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
  • Romford Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Tuesday in the E, IG and RM postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

In addition to the above there are currently delays in some areas due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence or COVID-related self isolation, resourcing, or other local factors. In those cases we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. The following areas are currently affected:
